New Jersey’s hospitals expect to see 16,000 patients who vape this year — almost twice as many than last year, and a growing number of them are getting younger and younger, according to a new report.
The information released Thursday by the New Jersey Hospital Association is very different from the 1,888 lung injury cases and 37 deaths the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating across the country. One woman from North Jersey is among the fatalities, and 57 other patients have confirmed or probable cases of lung injuries associated with vaping, the state Health Department said.
